SIGNAL

The brief

SIGNAL is Twilio's largest conference, where they unveil new product announcements, engage with customers, and share company news with the public. It's a significant internal push, major sales driver, and focus for many teams throughout the year. In the past, the event included in-person gatherings at venues like the Moscone Center in San Francisco, while recent years have transitioned to online and virtual formats.

My role

I was the lead art director for 2022, collaborating with an agency partner team to develop the conference's identity, which was then applied to all marketing deliverables. Our concept was centered around "illumination" since the conference highlighted new products and emphasized key customers. The event graphics incorporated gradients and circles to convey the idea.
VOX Summit

The brief

VOX was a smaller regional summit organized by Twilio, hosted in an intimate setting to share important updates and developments with a select group of attendees. The event aimed to create an atmosphere of close interaction, allowing participants to engage in meaningful discussions and connections.

My role

I worked with a small vendor team on the identity for the signage, name badges, and event communication. The design centered around the use of the quotation mark symbol, serving as a representation of dialogue and communication, reflecting the nature of the event.
Company Kickoff

The brief

Company Kickoff is Twilio's largest internal event, extending invitations to all company teams and spanning across all regions. The theme we adopted was "Come Together," aimed at fostering closeness, team building, and positive connections.

My role

I served as the lead art director for the 2022 event. I collaborated with a team of designers from a vendor to develop this theme. The overall design drew inspiration from the vibrant atmosphere of a music festival. The finalized look was applied throughout the event, including the website, marketing materials, slide decks, the livestream graphic kit, and other essential materials.
Transform Together

The brief

Transform Together is a multi-city roadshow organized by Twilio, designed to engage with customers both in-person and virtually across various cities. Our team was assigned the task of rebranding the program, aiming to align its appearance more closely with the main Twilio brand while retaining its distinct identity.

My role

I served as the lead art director, collaborating closely with a team of vendor designers on the project. We explored the use of glyphs to form an adaptive design system where logo elements could be adapted to give a sense of change and dynamics. The look was applied to various marketing materials including signage, the website, banners, decks, animation, and giveaways.
